When the sun comes out in London, finding hidden outdoor eating and drinking spots is always top of the agenda. So with that in mind, we have put together a list of new hotspots in London for you to try this summer! From drinking cocktails while playing crazy golf to outdoor terraces with a view, these are four places in London that you absolutely must try.
Swingers in the West End takes all the things that guests love about Swingers in the City – the holy trinity that is street food, cocktails and crazy golf – and gives them a brand new immersive setting. Where Swingers City reimagined a 1920’s English country golf club set in lush grounds, Swingers West End takes crazy golf back to its seaside roots. Features of the new Swingers West End include a hidden entrance through a seaside souvenir shop, a stunning all-day bar with an iconic bandstand canopy roof and a promenade. The Big Wheel Course and the Helter Skelter Course are two beautifully designed 9-hole crazy golf courses that are jam packed with jumps, loops and moving obstacles, as well as caddies serving cocktails to guests as they play. We decided to treat our TBP Talent ladies to a night out here last week, and what a night it was! Not only was the service impeccable, the food was top notch and the golf was so much fun.
Patty & Bun now have ten restaurants across London – the flagship being located on James Street in Marylebone. Ironically, Patty & Bun has also become a permanent food vendor in the popular Swingers London (mentioned above) as well as the sought after Pergola on the Roof (mentioned below). Patty & Bun has become the most talked about burger joint in London since opening in November 2012. With queues out the door, the original residency sparked a wave of excitement amongst burger lovers from all over the world. They are known for using the freshest and tastiest ingredients that they can get their hands on and the best of British wherever possible. Owner Joe Grossmann has managed to create something very simple yet well executed and well loved. A definite must-try for all you meat eaters!
Pergola on the Roof, one of London’s largest rooftop dining experiences, has transformed the top of the Television Centre into a picturesque vision of The Hamptons. Pergola on the Roof welcomed a selection of London’s best-loved restaurants to come together in this lavish scene, serving up a range of their exciting, bespoke dishes. Burger legends Patty & Bun resume its usual spot this year, joined by three of London’s most innovative food partners – Breddos Tacos, dishing out fresh tacos that utilise the best of British produce; 8 Hoxton Square, serving the best of what’s in season whilst drawing its inspiration from the Mediterranean; and Salt ‘n’ Sauce, the spin-off brand of Bonnie Gull that’s loosely based on the iconic British chippy, offering Bonnie Gull’s famous take on fish and chips, as well as other seafood dishes and ‘whippy’ ice-cream. A great spot to go for some incredible food and cocktails after work with a big group of friends.
Never before has an entire street been transformed into an epicurean avenue dedicated to some of London’s most exciting food, drink and social experiences, until now. Taking the former Prince of Wales pub and four disused connecting buildings on West Brompton Crossing, the team behind Pergola On The Roof have revitalised this corner of West London to create a truly unique collection of spaces encompassing two bars, four individual restaurants, and a huge secret garden – all connected to each other, and all under one guise of The Prince. Open seven days a week, guests will be able to walk in from the street, grab a drink from a bar or a tasty bite to eat from one of the four restaurants, and venture through to a hidden secret garden. The perfect place in the sunnier months to enjoy an ice-cold beverage and some tasty street food!
