5 Podcast Recommendations To Listen To This Month!

March 6, 2019

With so much online content to occupy us every moment of the day, it can be hard to decide what to watch, read or listen to. A favourable format of content that is continuing to grow in popularity is podcasts. With over 6 million weekly listeners of podcasts in the UK, there is no denying the power a podcast can have at boosting engagement, reaching new audiences and creating conversation. Podcasts provide an alternative avenue of content consumption, one that doesn't include staring at a screen, but rather one that is perfect for listening to when getting ready, commuting or just relaxing. With so much choice, here are five of The Blogger Programmes podcast recommendations for the month of March!

1 - Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness

If you've ever watched the Netflix show Queer Eye, you'll know and loveJonathan Van Ness. For those who don't know, Jonathan Van Ness is an American hairdresser and TV personality, famous for his lovable and energetic character. His podcast 'Getting Curious' consists of episodes between 30 minutes to an hour long, tackling popular and niche topics through conversation with experts in their field. His take on any topic, even Brexit, is made dynamic and engaging through his ability to ask interesting and controversial questions. One of our favourite and hilarious episodes is 'How Did Kim Kardashian Break The Internet?', exploring how Kim Kardashian's iconic cover for Paper magazine broke the internet, with behind-the-scenes insight from the Creative Director, Drew Elliott herself.

2 - Hashtag Authentic with Sara Tasker

Hosted by Sara Tasker, an online and creative business consultant with a stunning Instagram of her own, 'Hashtag Authentic' tackles the secrets to success for online creatives. Dedicated to content creators, business owners and bloggers, each episode provides inspiration and information for the listeners, with truthful stories and tips from professionals in a variety of industries. Using the 'Hashtag Authentic' podcast, Tasker has created a safe, supportive community for her audience. Listeners can learn and grow from Sara's advice, as well gaining vast insider knowledge from the guests on the podcast. A fascinating episode is 'The Inside Scoop on Using Pinterest for Growth', which gives real insight on using your Pinterest boards to grow your online presence, in an unique yet authentic way.

3 - On The Line with Estee Lalonde

'On The Line' is hosted by popular Fashion and Lifestyle Influencer Estee Lalonde. Focusing on the shared experiences of women, with no subject off limits, Estee presents an honest and humorous take on hot topics. With guests and friends of hers featuring on the show, they discuss friendship, relationships, beauty, plant-based diets and more. At the end of each podcast, Estee and her guests engage with real-time questions from audience members over the phone. This gives the podcast a very personal flare and makes listeners feel as if they are involved in the conversation. If you are to listen to any episode of 'On The Line', we would recommend 'Friendships with Amelia Liana'. It feels like a casual chit-chat with friends - very comfortable, honest and hilarious.

4 - Feminists Don't Wear Pink with Scarlett Curtis

A podcast stemming from the best-selling book 'Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and other lies)', journalist and activist Scarlett Curtis reinvites the inspirational contributors from her book onto her podcast to explore further what Feminism means to them. With each episode dedicated to a different influential woman, including popular names such as Zoe Sugg and Jameela Jamil, the podcast is filled with stories and opinions that reflect the vast experiences every woman encounters with Feminism. A popular episode from the Podcast is Scarlett's conversation with Zoe Sugg.
