Festival season is in full swing and to kick start our Summer, The Blogger Programme took a trip to Copenhagen in collaboration with Roskilde Festival and some of our favourite influencers!
We were joined by festival lovers and all round mega babes Hannah Farrington and Amy Valentine for 4 days filled with amazing live music, VIP antics and well...quite a bit of rain!
Roskilde Festival is located just 30 minutes from Copenhagen city centre (so ideal) in the heart of Roskilde. As a non-profit festival, all the proceeds of each festival goes to charity every year, supportinghumanitarian, cultural and non-profit projects all over the world. As if this wasn't already amazing enough, most of the workers at the festival were all volunteers!
We arrived on Wednesday evening and after collecting our VIP wristbands we made our way into the festival to find our cute festival wooden huts...glamping at its finest! Just in time to catch The Weeknd headline, we made our way to the main 'Orange' stage to a low lit, sunny evening filled with a cheery, upbeat Roskilde crowd.
One thing we will say is, Roskilde is probably THE cleanest festival we have ever come across...! With a cleaning system in place all day and night, there was very rarely a large amount of rubbish on the floor at any given time - a massive plus when you're walking through the festival site at all hours of the day.
The next day, we made our way into the 'Backstage Village', very conveniently located next to the 'A Piece of Cake' stand (safe to say we made full use of that!) and what a beautiful backstage area it was. Fully equipped with everything every festival go-er could ever need; quirky food stands (big shout out to Gorms for the truffle pizza...UNREAL), lively bars and even a press lounge for industry members to get some work done.
We had the best time at Roskilde Festival with Amy and Hannah, not to mention some of the amazing acts they had playing from Foo Fighters, The XX, Arcade Fire to Ice Cube, Bryson Tiller and Solange...this festival really does have something for everyone.
